The Ravens ruled out wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with an ankle injury against the Bengals on Sunday. It’s unclear how Beckham suffered the injury, but it looks like the veteran once again can’t escape the injury bug.
The 30-year-old made his long-awaited return to the NFL from an ACL tear last week in his debut with Baltimore, where he caught two passes for 37 yards and was looking to build off the momentum in Week 2. But his day came to an end with just three catches for 29 yards in Cincinnati.
Beckham hasn’t played a full regular season since 2019 and has appeared in just 23 games since 2020. The three-time Pro Bowler was one of several key additions made to the Ravens offense this offseason along with securing quarterback Lamar Jackson to a longterm contract extension, solidifying a promising unit for 2023. But they can’t live up to their expectations with their big names watching from the sidelines.
For the team’s sake, hopefully Beckham’s latest injury doesn’t keep him out of the action for too long.
