Odell Beckham Jr. reveals what he said to Lamar Jackson, Zay Flowers following AFC Championship loss

The Baltimore Ravens suffered a devastating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. It was the last way that the team envisioned their 2023 season coming to an end, but the defending champions came into Baltimore and took the Lamar Hunt trophy from the Ravens’ fingertips.

Many players on Baltimore’s sideline were distraught as the final whistles sounded and the game ended, but veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was in their ear giving them words of encouragement. He shared those words post-game, mentioning that he shared his experiences with both quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Zay Flowers and expressed his excitement for long careers for both players.

“Just, through experience, the things that I’ve learned – and these are special guys. They have long, healthy careers – God-willing – ahead of them. [I] was just letting Zay [Flowers] know [that] he’s going to be a special player, and this is a moment in [his] career that … It’s never going to break you; it’s always going to make you. And just being able to be there for him however I can … I feel the same way that they do. I wanted to win. I wanted to be playing in the Super Bowl. I came here and was going to give everything I had, regardless of the situation, regardless of anything, for that matter. I was just kind of sharing that it’s going to be alright. It’s just unfortunate – the way it ended.”
