Odell Beckham Jr. kicked off flight bound for LA

Free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is deciding which team to join for the rest of the 2022 season, making trips around the country to visit potential suitors. On Sunday, however, he was kicked off a flight that was set to leave Miami for Los Angeles.

According to FOX Sports Radio’s Andy Slater, Beckham was escorted off the plane because he was in and out of consciousness, and also would not put on his seatbelt. The flight was delayed because all passengers on board were forced to get off the plane after Beckham refused to do so.

This Twitter user, who was on the plane, shared a video of Beckham being escorted by police following the incident. This was in response to a tweet posted by Beckham calling it “comedy hour.”

Beckham himself tweeted he’s ever experienced anything like what happened to him on Sunday, though he didn’t specify what he was referring to.

The Miami-Dade Police issued the following statement on the incident involving Beckham, saying the flight crew was worried the receiver was “seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight.”

After police and fire rescue were called, Beckham refused to exit the plane. Once all passengers were taken off the aircraft, Beckham complied and left the plane without incident.

The Rams are no longer considered suitors for Beckham after they’ve fallen nearly out of playoff contention at 3-7.

UPDATE: Beckham’s agent issued the following statement on the incident, saying his client was simply sleeping on the plane with a blanket over his head and was told he needed to exit the aircraft for not putting his seatbelt on.
