Odell Beckham Jr. already talking trash in group chat with ex-Rams teammates

Odell Beckham Jr. was a big reason the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021, joining them midseason and going on to put together some big performances late in the year and into the playoffs. He might’ve even won Super Bowl MVP if not for his knee injury suffered in the first half.

He sat out the 2022 season due to his knee, but he signed with the Ravens this offseason and will now get a chance to face his former team on Sunday afternoon. He’s looking forward to it, and he’s already kicked off the trash talk in his group chat with Rams players.

“It’s a special bond that I have with those guys over there – ‘Coop’ [Cooper Kupp], [Matthew] Stafford. I still hit a little group chat, talked a little trash with them this week. It’s just all love and respect,” he said.

During his time with the Rams, Beckham helped them beat the Ravens, a 20-19 victory in Week 17 in Baltimore. He scored the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter, and he’s hoping to return the favor as a member of the Ravens by helping Baltimore win on Sunday.

“Two years ago, I was over there, and I scored a touchdown to win the game [against the Ravens],” he said. “Now, I’m over here. Hopefully, I can do the same thing and return the favor to them. Sometimes, I have these Deja vu moments that go on mid-game after you played for so long, you’ve seen so many things. It’s just a team that I have a lot of love and respect for. Obviously, I won a Super Bowl with them, so it does feel good to go against them [and] to be able to see these guys. I have a special bond with them. The goal is obviously to win now on this side.”

This season, Beckham has 27 catches for 408 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games with the Ravens, but he’s found his footing more in recent weeks with 246 yards in his last four games alone, including a 116-yard performance against the Bengals in Week 11.
