Odd Edinburgh video shows moment driver continuously rams into back of Lothian bus

An Edinburgh driver has been caught on camera repeatedly ramming into the back of a Lothian bus.

The incident, involving a blue vehicle and a double-decker bus, took place on Portobello Road, Meadowbank, on Tuesday May 23.

In the video, shared with Edinburgh Live, a driver in a four-door hatchback can be seen sitting in traffic before he drives into the bus several times.

An eyewitnesses filmed the bizarre incident as it unfolded. The clip has been circulating social media leaving online users baffled.

Writing on social media, one person commented: "What on earth, why?" Another joked: "At least put a bit of effort into it, going to take a lot more than that to push a decker."

One local said: "The sooner cars are banned from the city centre the better." While a further resident added: "What the actual heck. Never seen anything so mental."

A Lothian Spokesperson said: “We are aware of an incident involving one of our vehicles and are assisting Police Scotland with their enquiries.”
