A bizarre detail that eagle-eyed viewers have spotted in Jacob Rees-Mogg's mantelpiece clock has kept viewers entertained during a TV interview this morning.
Rees-Mogg is known for his eccentric appearance and mannerisms, and viewers were left tickled but unsurprised by the strange feature after he appeared on a BBC political show to throw his support behind Boris Johnson in the race for Prime Minister this morning.
The current business secretary told the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg that Johnson is "clearly going to stand" to become the next Prime Minister, as there's "a great deal of support for him", reports The Mirror. Johnson has not yet formally announced his candidacy.

Viewers tuned in to hear Rees-Mogg's thoughts after heavy speculation that Johnson will imminently throw his hat into the race, but were distracted by something rather different - a personalised clock that sat on the mantlepiece behind him.
The unusual piece is adorned with Mogg's initials around the clock face, and everyone's making the same joke that it's 'hardly surprising' that the politician would plump for such a keepsake.
Twitter users were quick to share their hot takes online after spotting the personalised clock, which features the letters 'MOGG'. The timepiece boasts roman numerals for most of the numbers, but an 'M' where '12' would be, 'O' where '3' usually is and 'G' at both '6' and '9'.
One Twitter user penned: "Jacob Rees-Mogg's mantelpiece clock has an M at the 12 spot, an O at the three and G's at the six and nine points. Amazing. #BBCLauraK."
"Of course, Jacob Rees-Mogg has a MOGG clock" another added.
"Jacob Rees Mogg having a clock with the quarter hands spelling his own name is absolutely classic Jacob Rees Mogg energy," a third joked.
Another jibed: "Babe are you okay, you've hardly looked at your MOGG clock"
While a sixth commenter said: "All this talk about Jacob Rees-Mogg's clock with his name on it reminded me of when, a decade ago, he called for Somerset to have its own time zone."
The business secretary came out in support of Johnson making a comeback as PM on Friday following Liz Truss ' shocking resignation.
Despite unity talks happening between Johnson and Rishi Sunak overnight, a truce has been boldly ruled out as the former chancellor has announced that he is running for the top job, while Boris backers insist that he will also stand in the bid.
