Speaking at a rally in Tuscon, Obama emphasized the need for a new direction for America, stating that the country is ready for a President like Kamala Harris.

Obama criticized Trump's leadership style, describing it as arrogant, bumbling, and divisive. He mocked Trump's recent town hall appearance in Oaks, Pennsylvania, where the former president stayed on stage for over 30 minutes after the event ended, swaying to music. During his speech, Obama also addressed Trump's immigration policies, questioning why the former president failed to solve the issue during his time in office. He praised late Republican Senator John McCain for his character and bipartisan approach to politics, highlighting McCain's willingness to engage in honest debate and respect differing viewpoints.

Obama was joined by Democratic leaders from Arizona, including US Senate nominee Ruben Gallego, Senator Mark Kelly, former US Rep. Gabby Giffords, and congressional candidate Kirsten Engel, who all spoke in support of the former president's endorsement of Kamala Harris.
