Oasis fans outraged after Liam Gallagher reveals shockingly short set length for reunion tour

Liam Gallagher has stirred up concern among Oasis fans after revealing how long he plans to perform during the band’s highly anticipated reunion tour this summer.

Many fans, who spent hundreds of pounds on tickets, were left questioning whether they’d get their money’s worth after Gallagher hinted the shows could be far shorter than expected.

The iconic Britpop band’s reunion marks 15 years since their infamous backstage fallout in Paris, which led to the group’s split in 2009.

The explosive argument between Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher ended one of the UK’s most celebrated rock bands, leaving fans longing for a comeback ever since.

Excitement peaked last year when Oasis announced 14 reunion shows across the UK and Ireland for summer 2025.

The announcement triggered a frenzy for tickets, with many fans prepared to pay top prices to see the Gallagher brothers back on stage.

However, the ticket-buying process hasn’t been without controversy. Ticketmaster is currently under investigation over claims it used “dynamic pricing” — a model that increases prices based on demand — causing ticket costs to surge from £148 to as much as £355.

While fans expected an extensive setlist packed with Oasis’ greatest hits, Liam’s recent comment on X (formerly Twitter) cast doubt on those expectations.

When asked about the show’s length, he cryptically replied that it would last “59 minutes 59 secs.”

This sparked an immediate reaction online, with many fans taking to Reddit and social media to express frustration and confusion.

“Not exactly what I was hoping for after spending £300 on tickets,” one Reddit user wrote, while another commented, “Typical Liam — always stirring the pot. But I hope he’s joking.”

Longtime followers of Gallagher are aware of his reputation for trolling fans online, with one writing on X: “Stop saying that people think you serious”.

Still, others aren’t willing to take the risk. “If he’s serious, that’s a really short set for a reunion tour, especially with what we paid,” another fan said.

Despite the uncertainty, anticipation for the tour, which kicks off 4 July at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, remains high.

The Standard has contacted Oasis’s rep for comment. LiveNation had no comment.
