A pensioner has tragically died 11 days after being seriously injured in a motorbike crash in Argyll and Bute.
The 73-year-old was travelling on the A814 near Garelochhead when he came off his green Yamaha bike at around 4.25pm on June 6.
The bike was rushed to hospital for medical treatment but tragically succumbed to his injuries on Friday.
Police have confirmed the man’s death and are continuing to appeal for witnesses who saw the one-vehicle crash to come forward.
The collision took place at the roundabout junction with the A817 Hall Road and the A814, just above Garelochhead.
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls of Dumbarton Road Policing Unit said: “The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for treatment, where sadly he succumbed to injuries yesterday evening (Friday, 17 June, 2022).
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
“Our investigations are continuing and anyone who witnessed the crash should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2486 of Monday, 6 June.”
