Liverpool's under-18s were on the winning side of an incredible 13-goal thriller against Leeds United at the academy on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were in under-18 Premier League action and it didn't take them long to get off the mark through Oakley Cannonier. A through ball from Mateusz Musiałowski was tucked home by the 17-year-old on seven minutes.
Leeds United found an equaliser shortly after, but the Reds hit back almost instantaneously as a clearance from the visitors fell to Cannonier. The youngster sent it beyond the keeper to score his second of the afternoon.

On 21 minutes, Liverpool won a penalty after a handball in the box and Luke Chambers stepped up to put the Reds 3-1 up. That soon became four just minutes later as Chambers turned from goalscorer into provider as his corner was headed in at the back post by Lee Jones.
Shortly before half-time, the hosts extended their lead even further as Isaac Mabaya drove forward and sent a dangerous ball into the box, which was tapped in by Bobby Clark.
If the six goals before half-time wasn't enough, the second half was equally as dramatic as Leeds scored their second of the afternoon shortly after the break. But Liverpool were once again quick to respond to conceding a goal and this time it was Musialowski to fire an effort past the Leeds keeper.
A flurry of goals followed as the visitors then pulled another back, but it wouldn't be enough as two minutes later the Reds put themselves 7-3 up as Clark's cross was tapped into an empty net by Calum Scanlon.
Cannonier bagged his hat-trick on 66 minutes with a strike on the edge of the area. Clark then saw an effort deflected off a Leeds defender to make it nine for Liverpool.
With just under 10 minutes left to play, Cannonier buried his fourth chance of the game and put Liverpool 10-3 up to conclude a dramatic afternoon at the academy.
