A nursery has been closed after inspectors raised concerns that children were "not kept safe" on the premises.
Sandfield Park Day Nursery, in West Derby, was ordered to shut for up to six weeks by the education watchdog Ofsted.
The move came after an unannounced inspection last week.

A spokeswoman for Ofsted told the ECHO: "We have suspended the nursery’s registration due to concerns about the provider's ability to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and to keep children safe."
Ofsted said it could not comment further on the specific concerns raised by its inspectors.
A Liverpool Council spokeswoman added: "Sandfield Park Nursery had its registration suspended last week following an unannounced Ofsted inspection.
"The council had been in contact with the nursery prior to the visit and an action plan was in place to address some of the issues around health and safety and an inspector had been assigned to monitor the nursery’s progress.
"Families of children who have council-funded places have been supported to find alternative provision."
Sandfield Park Nursery did not respond to a request for comment.
