"You really have left the biggest void in the department. Sending love to Greig, the boys and all your family. Will love and miss you forever Sally."

Sandra Glass added: "Theatres will never be the same without hearing your infectious laugh."

"The world will never be the same without you in it Sally," Elizabeth MacRae said. "You will forever be a massive part of my time in theatres and a loving and caring friend through my hard times and always able to make me smile with your wicked humour."

Theatre nurse Laura Hubbard said: "The world will never be quite as bright without you in it gorgeous girl, I feel so lucky to have had you as a friend and colleague, I will forever cherish the memories of all the giggles we shared."

A celebration for Sally’s life will take place in Inverness on Wednesday, October 5.

Sergeant Chris Donaldson of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with Sally’s family and friends.

“Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may be able to help and who hasn’t yet spoken to police to get in touch.
