A nurse has spoken out after being shamed for wearing "inappropriate" scrubs, declaring the opinions of her critics to be "irrelevant."
Nurse Erika Diaz says she's previously received negative comments about her form-fitted scrubs but doesn't let such uncalled-for remarks drag her down.
The 22-year-old nurse, who works two jobs while studying and volunteering, explained the scrubs just look different on various body types.
Erika has argued those who take issue with her scrubs really have a problem with her body, not her outfit, remarking, "some people just have an issue with my body not my scrubs and it shows."

In a TikTok video that has clocked up 12.9 million views and 1.1 million likes, Erika - who goes by the username @_erikamdiaz - could be seen proudly flashing a peace sign while wearing her blue scrubs.
Addressing the question, "why do you wear your scrubs like that, it's inappropriate", Erika went on to slam those who feel the need to make personal and unnecessary remarks about her figure.
Continuing in the comments, Erika wrote: "Just for clarification, I am 5’2 and 107 lbs. I'm short and little, y’all can say my body is fake all y’all want it’s not ask my back problems.
"I literally work two jobs, volunteer and I am still studying. I'm devoting my life to the improvement of others and anyone's opinions are irrelevant."
A number of people have applauded Erika for taking a stand, agreeing it was indeed the question that was inappropriate, not her uniform.
One person said: "I ain't remember the last time I cared what a NURSE looks like when they're helping me.... regardless if you're a patient or an employee."
Another commented: "Everyone has a different body type and clothes can fit differently for everyone so it’s not anyone's place to judge her wearing normal scrubs."
Others could relate to her plight all too well, with one fellow medical professional remarking: "I feel that. Scrubs also don’t fit my body as advertised. People think I’m doing it on purpose, but like… it’s our bodies!"
