Marseille manager Igor Tudor has vowed to slap Nuno Tavares with a fine after the Arsenal loanee was sent off before making a gesture to rival fans.
Monday night’s trip to Montpellier was all going so well for the defender when he fired his side ahead with a composed finish on the rebound - his fifth of the Ligue 1 season.
By the 87th minute, Marseille were two up when Tavares lashed out at Arnaud Souquet and was given his marching orders following a VAR review.
As he left the pitch, the Portuguese defender made a 2-0 gesture to the home fans, angering his manager, Igor Tudor.

“He's lost his mind, he's going to get a nice fine,” he told Amazon France.
“It can happen, but he's going to be fined, because it will penalise us in the future. We are lucky that it went well at the end of the match.”
Marseille came away with the win despite conceding in stoppage time to set up a nervy finish.
