The Minnesota Vikings selected six players in the 2023 NFL draft. Each of those selections has an official number heading into the offseason program. The Vikings announced each player’s number on their Instagram account.
- WR Jordan Addison: No. 3
- CB Mekhi Blackmon: No. 11
- S Jay Ward: No. 20
- DT Jaquelin Roy: No. 78
- QB Jaren Hall: No. 16
- RB DeWayne McBride: No. 37
Fans like to have discussions with jersey numbers and this will generate a lot of that. Some numbers are just equated to better success because of those who have worn them before.
One thing to keep in mind with this is that there aren’t a lot of jersey numbers available, simply because of the number of players on the roster. All of these guys could in theory change their number once final cuts are made. The one who I don’t expect to change is Addison, as he wore No. 3 at both Pitt and USC.
