NUFC's Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Joelinton wow staff in Newcastle's Miller & Carter

A city centre restaurant has become a favourite haunt of Newcastle United stars such as Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak and Joelinton.

The three players took time out to enjoy slap-up meals with their families at Newcastle's Miller & Carter on Mosley Street in recent weeks. Delighted staff at the restaurant have told ChronicleLive that the trio proved to be gentlemen off the pitch during their visits - praising them for being well-mannered and for taking the time to pose for photos with chefs and waiters.

Wearing a black puffa jacket and jeans, new record signing Alexander Isak stayed low-key during his trip on September 25, asking staff for a quiet table where he tucked into the Cote de Boeuf and washed it down with glasses of Chilean Merlot. But the striker was all smiles as he posed for photos with waiter Jonny Lathbury staff who described him as a "really nice lad".

"He was unsure about the menu so I made a couple of suggestions and won him over after explaining our Cote de Boeuf," Jonny said.

"After he had his dessert I asked him if it would be okay to take a picture and sign a quick autograph for me to which he kindly agreed. One of our chefs was excited to see Isak and ran over to jump in the picture.

"He was a really nice lad! He was very polite and chilled out. He thanked all of us at the end of his meal and said goodbye to our staff as he departed."

Bruno has also paid a number of visits to Miller & Carter where he is said to order the T-bone steak and lemon and raspberry cheesecake. Just like his teammate Isak, the midfielder kept it casual wearing a hoodie and jeans for his visit on September 9 where also took the time to meet staff and sign autographs.

Although he was joined by his family for his latest meal, Bruno has also previously popped in with fellow Brazilian Joelinton with the pair all smiles as they posed for pics with restaurant manager's son Elliot Arnold.

Waiter Jonny said: "Bruno asked if we did a blue cheese steak sauce, and although we don't offer one on the menu, the chefs honoured his request. Once they were all finished, I politely asked him for an autograph and if he wouldn't mind taking a picture with the staff on his way out, to which he happily agreed.

"I brought over a few bits of paper and signed a few of them even though I only asked for one. On their way out I grabbed a couple of the members of staff and his partner took a photo of us. He gave us a cheery goodbye as he left with his party.

"Throughout the entire stay Bruno was really polite and happy and it was a pleasure to serve him and his family."
