NT records another COVID-19 death

The NT's count of active COVID-19 infections stands at 6856 after more than 1000 new cases. (AAP)

The Northern Territory has reported another 1027 COVID-19 infections and one more death.

Health officials say a man in his 50s has died with the virus in the Katherine Hospital, taking the territory's death toll since the start of the pandemic to 14.

There are currently 127 COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the territory including one in intensive care.

Active infections stand at 6856.
