A man has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of another man outside an Alice Springs pub last week.
The 32-year-old victim was allegedly stabbed in an incident outside the Todd Tavern last Thursday, shortly after 3pm.
He was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital in a critical condition, but died that afternoon as a result of his injuries.
Two women — one of them a paramedic — were also treated in hospital after the incident.
Police took a 23-year-old man into custody after the incident, where he was reported to be assisting police with their inquiries.
In a statement released this morning, police said he had now been charged with murder.
The man has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
Last week police reported that initial investigations indicated the victim and alleged offender were known to each other.
