A man is accused of murdering a 71-year-old woman he knew, who disappeared from her western Sydney home more than four years ago.
The 47-year-old man was arrested at Wagga Wagga Police Station on Tuesday and charged with murdering Nadire Sensoy between December 6 and 11 in 2018 in the Blacktown area.
Ms Sensoy was last seen at her Prospect home and in 2020 detectives made a public appeal for information as well as announcing a reward for information about her disappearance.
Last week a coronial inquest into Ms Sensoy's death began but was suspended when new information came to light.
The 47-year-old man was charged with domestic violence murder and refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Tuesday.
