Some lower-order rearguard action from Beau Webster has been unable to prevent Tasmania conceding a massive first-innings deficit on day three of their Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales in Sydney.
Tasmania were bowled out for 236 leaving NSW with a 181-run first innings advantage.
The home side chose not to enforce the follow-on after being in the field for 104 overs.
No.7 Webster remained unbeaten on 75 after a 150-ball stint at the crease but there was little support with only Ben McDermott (50) also passing 20 for the Tigers.
Legspinner Adam Zampa picked up 3-41 while Sean Abbott returned 3-40 for the Blues.
NSW are chasing a first a win of the season as the Shield heavyweights look to belatedly kick-start their campaign.
