Now you can book a puppy cuddle and help dog rescue in NI

A Northern Ireland dog charity has organised a series of puppy cuddle days to hep fund their work in the community.

Members of the public are invited to book a smooch with a pup with Cavaliers in Need NI who are adding dates to the cuddle diary this summer and further into the year.

Cath Southwell from the charity said: "We have many dogs who are very keen on human contact and who just love the attention. And these days allow us to meet people who think they might want to adopt a dog and talk to them about the reality of what that means in a home.

"There are some who think having a dog is all about the fun and the walks and snuggles, but of course there is much more to it than that and some of the responsibilities such as their health care, their end of life or simply just cleaning up after them, can be a challenge.

"But our pet a pup days are great fun and everyone who gets involved has a good time. We charge £3 for a cuddle time with the dog and of course every meeting is gently supervised to ensure everyone is happy and safe.

"The money goes to help with the rescue, fostering and rehoming work we are involved in daily, it helps with vets bills and any other bills we face and every penny counts.

"So being able to have our pups enjoy a cuddle and to be able to help people understand what dog ownership is about, also helps us to raise vital funds.
