Now That Brat Summer Is Officially Over, It's Time to Enter Your Avocado Green Era

Whether you classify yourself as a member of Charli XCX's Brat pack or not, you couldn't escape the borderline neon green hue her album highlighted. The shade was literally everywhere for a few months. Now that Brat Summer has wrapped up, it's time for an upgrade. So we're moving on to embrace avocado green and we're not alone. Fact is, the Fall 2024 runways were filled with the new It shade.

Alberta Ferretti, Gucci, Chloe and Carven are just a handful of the fashion houses that incorporated it into their seasonal lineups. Both Alberta Ferretti and Gucci offered several iterations. How do you define the new must-have hue? Well, it's called avocado for a reason. It represents either the inside or the outside of the beloved fruit. It's kind of like chartreuse since it has a touch of yellow to it. But don't mistake it for neon. The acid Brat Green obsession should be left in the summer.

We're always amazed how fast fast-fashion brands manage to pick up on trends. While you can shop designer options if you've got the funds, you can also indulge in the craze without breaking your very limited bank account. Take Mango's wool crewneck sweater that's perfect for layering under or over pretty much anything. Simply slip a long-sleeve T-shirt or button-down under Zara's knit midi dress to make it stretch through winter. Free People has a pair of avocado vegan leather trousers that can make or break any outfit. (And they're under $30.) You can even dress your feet up in the shade courtesy of Mango's cashmere socks.

Scroll down to find the best ways to introduce avocado green into your fall and even winter wardrobes. Unlike Brat Green, these pieces have the ability to last longer than a single season.
