A Ukrainian bread maker will put her wares on display at a Dalbeattie market in the parish church hall on Saturday.
The woman, a refugee from war in her country, will be among almost two dozen crafters and food sellers at the venue on Craignair Road.
Organisers Linda Fricker and business partner Clare Marshall stage the makers market every month to boost micro-businesses locally.
Linda, who makes laser cut and engraved gifts using wood, metal and acrylic, said: “The hall has a maximum of 20 stalls and we are expecting a full house.
“We’ll have home made bread from a Ukrainian lady living in the Dalbeattie area who is a refugee from the war.”
Linda, who is originally from Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales, said a wide range of crafts and goods would be on display.
Stallholders will include a haberdasher’s, blacksmith, wood turner and butcher as well as local artists and makers.
She said: “We have a good mix of people and have built up a very good cluster of members.
“We have got to a point where we have a really good attendance of the public now.”
Dates for the dairy – especially for the wee ones – include a visit by Santa on Saturday December 3.
