Notts County have confirmed that a request from Elisha Sam to terminate his contract has been accepted.
The 25-year-old will now pursue opportunities elsewhere after two years at Meadow Lane. The 6ft 5in centre-forward signed for the Magpies in late August 2020 and made almost 60 appearances, scoring 15 goals.
That tally includes an incredible effort against Oxford City in an FA Trophy tie, which was one of seven in their debut season in England. A further eight followed last campaign, including excellent efforts against Halifax and Chesterfield as part of a spell of form that saw the striker named National League player of the month for February.

The club have thanked Eli for their efforts and wish the Belgian well for the future. This is a sentiment also shared by the striker.
“I would like to say a big thank you to the club for giving me the opportunity to experience playing in England, where I have made some incredible friends and memories," Sam said. “A big thank you to the fans, as well, for always supporting me. I hope I have repaid you with some great goals and never anything less than 100% effort. I wish my team-mates and the club all the best for the new season.”
