Notts County's new owners reveal board of directors

Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz have confirmed the make-up of Notts County’s new board following their takeover from Alan Hardy.

The Danish brothers completed their deal over the weekend to breathe fresh life into the struggling Magpies, and made paying staff one of their first priorities – a task which was completed on Monday.

Speaking following their acquisition, Christoffer revealed that Football Radar analyst Richard Montague would join the two Danes in the Meadow Lane boardroom along with operations director Jason Turner.

“There (will also be) Richard Montague from Football Radar,” said the new Magpies chairman.

“I’ll be the chairman, while Richard will have a particularly involved role in connecting Football Radar with Notts County.”

Montague, a former university student in Nottingham, has already begun working closely with Neal Ardley, with the manager keen to strengthen his squad ahead of Saturday’s season opener at Eastleigh following the transfer embargo being lifted.

“He’s already working with Neal (Ardley),” he said.

“Yes, I would say so,” said Christoffer, when asked if Montangue would be a link between the manager’s office and the boardroom.

“Most of all, we’ll have some involvement ourselves, obviously.

“We want to focus on the football side of things but we think we know some things.”

“I am confident that between us we have the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to drive Notts County forward.

“While Alexander, Richard and I are new to working within a club, we feel the skills and expertise we can bring from other areas of football and business will be very useful.

“Jason, meanwhile, has been at Meadow Lane for a number of years now and has an excellent knowledge of the club’s culture, along with vast experience of football administration.

“We look forward to working with him closely.”

Notts’ National League campaign begins at Eastleigh on Saturday, before their first Meadow Lane outing of the campaign against Stockport next Tuesday and that’s an occasion the pair are both relishing.

“We can’t wait, we’re obviously going to be here for the game against Stockport and we’re really looking forward to that,” added Alexander.
