Notts County are inviting supporters to gift a ticket to someone less fortunate for their National League fixture with Yeovil Town on Saturday, 19 November.
The Football for a Fiver fixture initiative has become a roaring success since its introduction, with last season's visit of Solihull Moors breaking the National League attendance record, with 12,843 gathering at Meadow Lane to watch the Magpies' 2-0 win.
And this time the club are introducing the option to allow supporters to donate £5 tickets to the club's charity, Notts County Foundation, who in turn will gift them to the many local people and families they work with.

Speaking the club's official website, Magpies chief executive Jason Turner said: “While ticket prices are considerably lower for this fixture, we are acutely aware that many people simply can’t justify paying to attend football matches - particularly given the cost-of-living crisis.
“Last season’s record-breaking occasion was an incredible experience for all in attendance and we want to give everyone who wants to come the opportunity to do so this time around.
“Working with our brilliant colleagues at the Foundation and our incredibly generous supporters, we know this initiative will have a huge impact on so many people and give them a day they will always remember.”
And the playing squad and football staff have already set the ball rolling, with 50 tickets already donated to the cause so far.
To purchase a ticket, here are the options:
- Call 0115 955 7210 and state your wish to donate one (or more) tickets
- Visit the club shop during opening hours
To allow the Foundation sufficient time to distribute the tickets, the deadline for purchasing tickets to donate will be 5pm on Wednesday 16 November.
