Macaulay Langstaff's record-breaking 42nd goal of the season was not enough for Notts County to end their league season with a win, as Shaq Forde's late equaliser ensured the spoils were shared ahead of the play-offs next weekend.
Fresh from being crowned the Magpies' Fans' and Players' player of the season, the Notts number nine added to his growing record collection by breaking the all-time fifth tier scoring record held by Paul Culpin with his strike at the end of the first half.
But the travelling 1433 York fans were rewarded for their incredible support late on - The Minstermen's number nine managing to beat the offside trap before finishing beyond Sam Slocombe to steal a point and halt that winning momentum going into the play-offs.

The result sees the Magpies end their season on 107 points, four points behind leaders Wrexham, knowing they will face either Barnet or Boreham Wood in their play-off semi-final next weekend.
Ahead of kick-off, the Notts head coach made six changes to the side that beat Maidstone last weekend, with Sam Slocombe, Connell Rawlinson, Aaron Nemane, Adam Chicksen, John Bostock, and Langstaff all recalled.
In what was a buoyant atmosphere inside Meadow Lane, the hosts almost provided their home support with a goal inside the first minute - Matty Palmer's delivery into the area found the head of Langstaff but saw his effort deflected behind for a corner as the Notts number nine looked to cement his place at the top of the National League scoring charts.
Williams' side continued to dominate proceedings and carve out several opportunities, Rodrigues sending a free-kick wide of Ryan Whitley's right-hand post before Aden Baldwin and Sam Austin fired over in quick succession.
But after dominating the possession and creating all of the chances, Notts' persistence was rewarded right before half-time as Rodrigues picked up space and slid a trademark pass in behind the York defence for Langstaff to poke the ball into the net and notch his 42nd league goal of the season, all from open play.
The Minstermen had their goalkeeper to thank to ensure the gap between the two sides remained at just one, first denying Austin with a brilliant save to push the ball over the bar before denying substitute Cedwyn Scott's header with a save down low to his right.
Langstaff almost managed to replicate his brace against his former side earlier in the season - Rodrigues' instinctive dummy putting the Notts number nine through on goal only to see his effort bounce back off the post - those in attendance breathing a huge sigh of relief as Langstaff rose back to his feet after needing treatment following the chance.
But having rarely threatened for the majority of the contest, the visitors managed to snatch a point a minute from the end of the contest - substitute Forde able to beat the offside trap before composing himself to finish into the back of the net right in front of the joyous York City following.
However, Notts had two chances to end their season with a win - Whitley again the saviour for the visitors as he saved both Chicksen and Langstaff's headers late on to preserve a point for his side.
Here's how we rated the players at Meadow Lane.
Sam Slocombe - 6
Rarely tested all afternoon, making no real saves of note for the entirety of the contest but was beat late on by Forde's equaliser.
Kyle Cameron - 7.5
Was excellent as an attacking threat, aiding in the wide areas with his marauding runs while also producing some dangerous deliveries into the area.
Aden Baldwin - 6.5
Dealt well with the physical presence of Lenell John-Lewis, winning the majority of his ariel duels.
Connell Rawlinson - 6
Defended well when required to but after picking up a booking in the first half, was replaced just before the hour-mark with the play-offs around the corner.
Adam Chicksen - 6
A quiet afternoon for both full-backs in an attacking sense - Chicksen rarely seen in the final third as we have become used to seeing this campaign.
Aaron Nemane - 6
Was kept quiet for the entirety of the contest, but continued to be a willing runner with his pace in behind the York defence - often doubled up on to nullify his threat going forward.
John Bostock - 7.5
Continues to work so well alongside Palmer in midfield, showing great composure on several occasions while also providing that tenacity and bite to win possession back.
Matty Palmer - 8
Another controlled and composed display from the midfield general, with the majority of the play going through him and Bostock in the midfield.
Sam Austin - 7
Buzzed around the attacking third and looked to find those pockets of space in behind the York defence. Another hard-working display from the midfielder.
Ruben Rodrigues - 8
Consistently unlocked the deep defensive block on show from the visitors, instrumental in the opening goal of the afternoon with an incisive pick out - continued to pull the strings for the entirety of the contest.
Macaulay Langstaff - 8
42 goals in a league season. Simply sensational. Sealed the National League's Golden Boot with a fine finish on the stroke of half-time.
SUBS:
Richard Brindley - 6
Important minutes for the Notts defender ahead of the play-off campaign, replacing Rawlinson who had been booked earlier in the game.
Cedwyn Scott - 6.5
Injected that energy in the final third, almost scoring with his first touch of the game as his header was well saved by Whitley.
Jim O'Brien - 6
A late change for Bostock in midfield.
