Notts County boss reveals Frank Vincent conversation ahead of Aldershot reunion

Luke Williams has revealed that he has been in regular contact with on-loan Notts County man Frank Vincent, as they welcome Aldershot to Meadow Lane on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old joined The Shots on a month-long loan from the Magpies in a decision that was questioned by many, but the midfielder has flourished with regular game time at his feet, completing 90 minutes in the three matches he has featured in this season.

And the option for that loan deal to be extended could become a possibility following the signing of Quevin Castro on-loan from West Brom, further strengthening in the area of the pitch Vincent is desperate to make an impact.

But the chance to impress his manager in the flesh will have to wait, with a clause in the loan agreement stating he would not be able to play against his parent club.

Not being able to impress Williams on the night will disappoint Vincent, but his manager has been impressed with his performances under Mark Molesley, ensuring regular contact is made with the player whilst paying a lot of attention to the actions he makes in games.

"Yeah, we had some dialogue between me, and Vinny and he has really enjoyed it being out there on the pitch.

"I have managed to watch every action he has been involved in, but I have not been able to watch a full game because I just don't have time to sit and watch it back, I would like to.

"But I watch all of the actions, every single action that he is involved in, since he has been there.

"As you can imagine, it is not difficult to watch Vinny as you can see the energy, the enthusiasm and some real good moments as well.

"I have been able to watch him and communicate with him, he is really an incredible guy and is great to work with, so this has been a good experience for him to be out on the pitch and to release some of the energy that he has cooped up in there."
