Two roads in Nottinghamshire have been shut due to flooding. It comes as the heavy rain has affected the traffic and closed businesses across county.
In Burton Joyce, the Co-op has shut amid significant flooding inside the store as well as outside, in the car park. Nottinghamshire County Council announced that the Main Road has been closed as a result shortly after 12pm on Thursday (October 20).
Nottinghamshire Live reported closures on Chestnut Grove at its junction with Main Road. Mike Adams, County Councillor for Carlton East was out in Burton Joyce to assist business owners and residents.

He urged drivers to "go easy" on roads to avoid the water going into people's homes. Elsewhere in Nottinghamshire, another road has been shut due to the weather.
Jubilee Way North in Mansfield has been closed as flooding is creating challenges to drivers across Nottinghamshire.
