Nottinghamshire Police statement after collision in Upper Parliament Street

Police have issued a statement following a road traffic accident outside the Victoria Centre, in Nottingham city centre. Officers were called to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian shortly after 2pm on Wednesday, November 23.

Police said one woman is reported to have been injured but her condition is currently unknown. Part of Upper Parliament Street between Glasshouse street and Milton Street has been closed and a number of bus diversions are in place.

Inspector Rich Markham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers are currently in attendance at a road traffic accident outside the Victoria Centre, in Nottingham city centre.

"We were called shortly after 2pm today (23 November), to reports of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.“One woman is reported to be injured but her condition is currently unknown.

“Road closures are currently in place on Upper Parliament Street between Glasshouse street and Milton Street so we are asking drivers and members of the public to please avoid the area.

”Anyone with any information or who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 372 of 23 November 2022."
