Nottinghamshire police release image after man 'knocked unconscious' on his birthday

Police investigating an alleged assault have released an image of a man they would like to speak to. A man was celebrating his 21st birthday with a group of friends when a disturbance between two groups broke out in Talbot Street, Nottingham.

The man was reportedly punched in the face and knocked unconscious on in an alleged incident on September 11. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, Nottinghamshire Police reports.

Police believe the man pictured in the image may be able to assist with their investigation and have asked for him to come forward. Sergeant Richard Tiernan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack and the victim is still recovering from his injuries.

“We have carried out extensive investigations into what happened and are now making a public appeal to identify a man who was seen in the area at the time of the assault. We believe they may have vital information that my assist with our investigation and I urge them to come forward.”
