Nottinghamshire Police issue warning after officers find suspected drugs on park floor

Nottinghamshire Police have issued a warning after a packet containing suspected drugs was found on the floor of a park. Officers in the Mansfield area are urging people to be vigilant when taking young children or dogs to the local parks.

They are asking people to report anything suspicious to the force. The officers found the package in the the Ravensdale area of Mansfield on Saturday, May 6.

A spokesperson for Mansfield District Police said: "Whilst on foot patrol around the Ravensdale area of Mansfield, officers from the South Neighborhood Policing Team located a small packet containing suspected drugs discarded on the floor of a local park.

The suspected drugs will be booked in for destruction. Please be vigilant when taking young children or dogs to the local parks and report anything suspicious via 101 or our Online Reporting Portal."
