Nottinghamshire Police have provided more information about a multi-vehicle crash which closed the southbound carriageway of the A1 on Monday (October 24). The collision, which happened on the nearby A46, involved three cars.
The southbound carriageway of the A1 was closed for hours between the B6325 (North Muskham) and the A46 near Newark-on-Trent. The incident was reported at 12.50pm and diversions were put in place.

Nottinghamshire police, East Midlands Ambulance Service, and Newark and Collingham Fire Stations were all in attendance at the scene. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: “The RTC [road traffic collision] was a three car collision on A46 near Kinoulton on the northbound carriageway. No injuries reported.”
