Nottinghamshire Police issue statement after major cordon in Sneinton street

A cyclist was taken to hospital with head injuries following a crash in Sneinton. Police were called to a crash involving a cyclist a car on Sunday evening (May 22).

Officers cordoned off Upper Eldon Street, a road situated between Walker Street and Sneinton Road, just after 8pm. A number of police cars were in attendance as the emergency services responded to the incident.

Paramedics were also called out. The cyclist involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with head injuries. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman confirmed the cyclist's injuries weren't though to be life-threatening or life-altering. The emergency services had left the scene by 1.20am on Monday (May 23).
