Nottinghamshire Police hunt for 3 teenagers after 'nasty attack' in Chinese restaurant doorway

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in the doorway of a Chinese restaurant. Officers said one man was taken to hospital after being attacked during the incident.

It was reported in Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, shortly before 11pm on Saturday, October 29, night following a report of a disturbance between two groups.

An investigation is underway and police are appealing for the public’s help in tracing two males and a female in their late teens seen fleeing the scene.

One of the males is described as having short brown hair and wearing a dark hooded top with dark trainers. The other man was wearing a blue puffer jacket with a hood.

The woman was described as having tied up dark hair. She was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a fur lined hood, grey joggers and light coloured sliders.

Detective Sergeant Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty attack that we believe would have been witnessed by a number of people. We are working hard to understand what happened and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident.

“We are especially keen to speak to any drivers travelling along Outram Street around the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage of what happened.”

Anyone with additional information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 863 of 29 October.
