Nottinghamshire fire station up for sale dubbed a 'prime redevelopment project'

A Nottinghamshire fire station has been put on the market and is described as a 'prime redevelopment project'. Worksop Fire Station has been marketed by NG Chartered Surveyors on behalf of Bishop Property Consultants.

The fire station is located directly opposite the Whitworth Brothers Albion Mill, on the edge of Worksop town centre. It is surrounded by a combination of residential and commercial properties, making a redevelopment of the fire station an attractive and commercially viable idea.

The building is made up of the purpose-built fire station surrounded by a series of 1970s buildings. To the rear of the property, there are a number of additional buildings and a fire training tower. There is also a yard area which is behind fully secured automated gates.

Richard Sutton, managing director of NG Chartered Surveyors, said: "This is a prime redevelopment project for a proactive investor and we're excited to bring forward the opportunity.

"We expect substantial interest from residential developers, but we believe redeveloping the site for commercial/light industrial purposes also has considerable merit, smaller scale industrial developers who initiate schemes on a speculative basis are well received. We believe the site would suit that profile."
