Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has shared shocking photos from the scene of a serious crash in Keyworth. Firefighters from East Leake station attended the collision, which happened on Bunny Lane during the evening of a wet night following a dry spell.
In a Facebook post, a fire service spokesperson said: "Recently we attended a road traffic collision on Bunny Lane. Due to the unstable condition and injuries of the casualty, we did not want to post until we received positive news from the family.
"The road traffic collision happened in the evening of a wet night following a dry spell and we hope to use this incident as a reminder that road conditions change rapidly during the winter and can catch any driver off guard. We would like to wish the driver of this incident a speedy recovery.
"There are also four other factors that are the main cause of collisions. These are speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, drink or drug driving, and driving while using a mobile phone.
"We would like to remind our followers that not only are these against the law, they are also called the Fatal 4 for a reason and can have devastating consequences. Please stay safe out there."
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were called to Bunny Lane in Keyworth on October 22.
