Nottingham's leading music festival is bouncing back bigger and better since its last outing three years ago.
Splendour organisers have announced that the festival will be staged over two days this summer in the grounds of Wollaton Hall to make up for a two-year absence.
The festival will take place Saturday July 23 and Sunday July 24.
The headline acts will be announced tomorrow, along with ticket prices for the weekend.
The event, which attracted a record 25,000-strong crowd last time it was held in 2019, was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic in 2020.
Last year plans were set in motion but uncertainty over restrictions meant it was axed a month beforehand when the Prime Minister confirmed a four-week delay to the final lifting of lockdown in England.
Anton Lockwood, from the organisers DHP Family, said: "Splendour going to two days is a really exciting step for the festival, we wanted to make sure that after the pandemic we were able to deliver a fantastic event and add something special to give back to everyone who stuck with us through the last two years.”
Splendour has attracted big name stars in the past with blistering sets from Manic Street Preachers, Rag’n’Bone Man, Kaiser Chiefs and Madness.
The family-friendly festival hasn't been a two-day event since the year it first launched in 2008.
