'Unforeseen circumstances' have forced a Nottingham restaurant to close until further notice. 13th Element, in Castle Boulevard, is a vegan restaurant serving burgers and small plates.
Anyone who has a booking will be contacted. It's not all bad news, though. The restaurant will still be doing deliveries, Wednesday to Sunday, from 5pm to 10pm.
13th Element opened in January this year after starting out serving gourmet burgers at Nottingham Street Food Club in Victoria Centre. The business quickly took off for founder Liam Russell, who was once a devoted meat eater but switched to a vegan diet in 2012.

The restaurant serves nine different types of burger, with either Beyond Meat patties or fried chick’n. Most but not all are available for delivery. The theatrical Element of Smoke, presented in a smoke-infused dome, is only available for diners eating in.
Sides including corn ribs, cauliflower wings, mac & cheese and fries are also available on delivery. Vegan shakes, made from nuts, come in flavours including Oreo, strawberry and biscoff.
