Staff and children at a day nursery in Nottingham are celebrating after being graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted. Paper Moon Day Nursery in Faraday Road, Lenton were first rated as outstanding in 2016 and is proud to have upheld its status and standards over the years.
The Ofsted inspection took place on Tuesday, November 22, and gave staff the opportunity to showcase how much support they give each child to progress. The nursery also benefits from a number of children attending who all enrich the nursery with their own family’s experiences and cultures, the report said.
In the report, the inspector writes: "Children are extremely happy and settled. They are highly motivated to learn, and eagerly join in with the thoughtfully planned activities on offer.”

The report also states that “parents are overwhelmingly positive. They state the numerous ways their children have grown in their development.
"Parents refer to the nursery as vibrant and say that staff provide the children with a rounded experience. They feel their children are more than ready for school." Nursery Manager, Lisa Boorman, said: “We are proud to have maintained the Outstanding Ofsted grade, particularly as I am a new manager to the setting since the last inspection.
"As a team we have all worked hard to support our children and families over these last few years and I feel that part of our success is due to the fact that we are like an extended family and always place the child at the centre of everything that we do.”
