Police prepare to raid Nottingham property following 'major incident'
Police believe the suspect behind the attacks in Nottingham had “stolen” the white van from his third stabbing victim before driving it into people in the city centre.
Two 19-year-old students, Barnaby Webber and Grace Kumar, were found dead on Ilkeston Road and a man in his 50s was found killed on Magdala Road.
Nottinghamshire Police chief constable Kate Meynell said: “At the moment, we believe that the suspect has stolen this man’s vehicle and driven it to Milton Street, where he is then driven at members of the public.”
The suspect rammed the van into three people, leaving one in critical condition in hospital and two suffered minor injuries.
Ms Meynell said: “The van was then stopped on Maple Street, where a man was tasered and detained by police officers on suspicion of murder.”
The family of a 19-year-old victim who was killed in Nottingham have described their “complete devastation” at their shocking loss.
They said he was a “beautiful, brilliant, bright young man, with everything in life to look forward to”.
