Nottingham Forest youngster Jayden Richardson praised for 'quality' performance

Nottingham Forest youngster Jayden Richardson has been praised for his "quality" performance for Notts County against FC Halifax Town.

Notts led early on in their FA Trophy clash through Ruben Rodrigues' goal before Billy Waters levelled the scoreline on the hour-mark; but it was Richardson's involvement in Kairo Mitchell's winning goal that had plenty of County fans raving about his abilities.

Richardson won the ball 10-15 yards inside his own half, avoided two sets of tackles before stabbing it wide to team-mate Cal Roberts when he was six yards outside the opposition penalty area.

Roberts' low cross was then turned over the line by Mitchell with seven minutes left on the clock to ensure Ian Burchnall's side progressed into the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy.

Taking to social media after full-time, this is what Notts fans had to say about the on-loan Nottingham Forest youngster...

@chogger5: [He] was quality showed a lot of strength as well as pace they couldn’t even hack him down despite repeated attempts

@salbre87: I reckon Richardson would have made a good American footballer with that speed and strength

@NottsCounty1991: What a baller!

@Chambo751: What a run by Richardson!!

@RangeUK: What a run from Jayden! Super subs! Happy for Cairo

@1RecordBreakers: Jayden!

@Meandthedog4: I just love how Richo does swats that bloke off.
