Nottingham Forest Wembley plan confirmed for Huddersfield play-off final

Nottingham Forest will have a pre-match fan park ahead of the play-off final with fans able to gather at BoxPark Wembley.

The venue has confirmed that Forest fans with matchday tickets will be able to go and enjoy pre-match build-up with live music and possibly some special guests ahead of making their way into the stadium. The venue will be open from 10am to 11pm, but will not be screening the game.

Forest make their way down to Wembley after success in a dramatic penalty shootout against Sheffield United in the second leg of the play-off semi-final. With both teams having won the away leg 2-1 and with no other goals scored in extra time, a place in the play-off final came down to penalty kicks.

Goalkeeper Brice Samba was the hero for Forest, saving three of the Blades’ four penalties to ensure that Steve Cooper ’s men were 3-2 winners in the shootout. That win means Forest take on Huddersfield Town in the clash at Wembley on Sunday, May 29, with kick off at 4:30pm.

Tickets for the showpiece event at Wembley Stadium are already being snapped up by Forest fans with more than 18,500 being sold after the first day of them being on sale to season card holders.

As for the pre-match build-up on Wembley Way, fans are able to register for the event at Boxpark on the venue’s website for free, although that does not guarantee entry. In order for entry up to 1pm to be guaranteed, fans will pay a fee of £10.

The play-off final is the first time Forest have competed in the game in their history, having failed at the semi-final stage in all of their previous trys. Reds fans in attendance will be hoping that it's a day to remember in and around Wembley Stadium.
