Nottingham Forest vs Wolves Carabao Cup quarter-final date, TV and ticket details confirmed

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the date for their Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Wolves.

The Reds got off to the perfect start after the World Cup break with a convincing win over Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday to ensure their place in the next round of the cup. A Brennan Johnson brace plus goals from Jesse Lingard and Taiwo Awoniyi allowed Forest to reach the quarter-finals of the competition for the first time since 1994.

The draw for the last eight took place on Thursday and handed Steve Cooper ’s side a home tie at the City Ground. The Reds will take on Wolves in the New Year as Forest look to book a place in the semi-finals.

It was confirmed on Friday that the cup tie will take place on Wednesday, January 11. The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm but has not been picked up by Sky Sports for live TV coverage.

Forest have already released ticket prices for the game, with adult tickets for season card holders costing £20. Tickets for both youth (18-23) and senior (over 65) season card holders are priced at £15, with princes for under-18 season card holders set at £5.

For non-season card holders, tickets are priced at £5 more, except for under-18s which stand at £8. The club will be releasing further information in due course.

Forest won four League Cups under Brian Clough between 1978 and 1990 but last advanced past the quarter-final stage in 1992. Steve Cooper has already lifted one trophy in his short time in charge and would surely like to extend his side’s cup run, as well as remaining focussed on Premier League survival.

The clash with Wolves will come three days after Forest’s trip to Blackpool in the FA Cup third round. Following the team’s cup exploits, the Reds will then host rivals Leicester City in the league on Saturday, January 14.
