Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool date and TV details confirmed

Nottingham Forest booked an FA Cup quarter-final showdown with Liverpool with victory over Huddersfield Town.

Forest came from behind to beat Championship rivals Huddersfield 2-1 in their fifth round tie at the City Ground on Monday night.

Having had a Sam Surridge effort controversially ruled out for offside, Forest fell behind moments later when Tom Lees opened the scoring with a 13th-minute header.

Surridge then equalised in the 29th minute, before Ryan Yates completed the turnaround for Steve Cooper’s men by heading home eight minutes later.

The result ended second-placed Huddersfield's 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Forest, who had already knocked out Arsenal and holders Leicester City, progress to the last eight of the competition for the first time in 26 years.

And it will be their first meeting with Liverpool since 1999.

Details of the sixth round clash have now been confirmed.

Forest will take on Jurgen Klopp's men at the City Ground on Sunday, March 20.

The match will kick off at 6pm and is to be televised live on ITV.

It means the Reds' Championship fixture away to Fulham, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 19, will need to be rearranged.

As for the Liverpool game, Forest say that ticket and hospitality details will be confirmed in due course.

Clubs will receive a £200,000 live broadcast fee, while the winners will collect a further £360,000 in prize money, along with a place in the last four.
