Nottingham Forest will be hoping to translate their Carabao Cup from to the Premier League against Crystal Palace after knocking Tottenham Hotspur out of the competition at the third round stage in midweek.
Palace, though, presents a different sort of challenge for head coach Steve Cooper and company as Patrick Vieira's side, despite also tasting midweek defeat, are flying high following their dramatic late win away against West Ham United last weekend. Though they find themselves in the stable position of tenth in the Premier League, Forest can cut a nine-point gap to their opponents with a win.
Cooper will view Saturday's match as an excellent opportunity to move out of the drop zone before the break for the World Cup. If other results were to go their way, a win could see the Reds leapfrog relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton and Bournemouth to move out of the bottom three.

Forest's match this Saturday is one of five Premier League games kicking off at 3pm, meaning it won’t be televised domestically due to the blackout rule. Manchester City host Brentford in BT Sport's early 12:30pm kick-off slot before Chelsea make the trip to an in-form Newcastle United for a 5.30pm kick-off shown by Sky Sports.
Wolves vs Arsenal rounds off the day's televised action when it kicks off at 7:45pm on Saturday night. Forest's game is being beamed around the world, though, because of the Premier League's television deals with broadcasters across the globe.
Peacock Premium is showing the game in the USA, whilst fuboTV are broadcasting the match in Canada. The action will also be available to watch via Optus Sport in Australia and Sky Sport in New Zealand, Germany and Italy. beIN SPORTS will be providing full coverage throughout the Middle East and North Africa, and Turkey, while Viaplay has the rights for Scandinavia and Star+ in South America.
NottinghamshireLive’s Sarah Clapson will be at the City Ground to bring you the build-up and action with their live match blog and will also be right on top of all the post-match reaction. You can also follow our Forest coverage on Twitter and Facebook.
