Nottingham Forest join race for AS Roma star
Nottingham Forest have arguably been the busiest Premier League club in the transfer market since winning promotion in May, and now they are being linked with a player who could be their biggest statement signing to date.
AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo was the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur last summer, and Antonio Conte’s struggling side are reportedly back in for the Italian this month, but they are said to have company in the ambitious Reds, according to a report from Get Italian Football News.

The 23-year-old Zaniolo is comfortable in a variety of positions and has scored 24 goals and registered 18 assists in 128 games since joining Roma from Inter Milan in 2018.
Jesse Lingard stance explained
Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper says discussions have not been held over what Jesse Lingard’s future might hold as he enters the last six months of his contract.
The 30-year-old penned a one-year deal in the summer, when he joined the Reds as a free agent after leaving Manchester United. After taking time to get going at the City Ground, he had been in fine form before an injury stopped him in his tracks last month.
January is typically a time when clubs make decisions on players who will be out of contract when the season ends, with the window an opportunity to cash in before seeing them walk away for nothing. But Cooper says Lingard’s situation has not come into the equation as Forest plot to strengthen their squad this month with midfielder Danilo expected to become their second January signing after the arrival of Gustavo Scarpa.
Manager breaks silence on Lewis O'Brien transfer
West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan has addressed the speculation about reported interest in Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien.
The 24-year-old was a key player under Corberan at Huddersfield before joining the Reds in the summer. It was recently reported that Corberan would be keen on a reunion with the midfielder having been restricted to regular game time this season.
The Baggies are pushing for promotion following a positive turnaround since Corberan's arrival in October.
Nottingham Forest 'expected' to strike new transfer
Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'expected' to strike an agreement with Palmeiras for midfielder Danilo.
Forest are keen to add to their squad this winter, and are working on striking a deal for the 21-year-old but face competition from French side AS Monaco. The Reds have, however, tried to get ahead of the race by reportedly tabling an offer of close to €20million (£18m) for the midfielder.
Palmeiras are said to want to receive between €20m-€25m (£17m-£22m) for their player. Danilo's former Palmeiras team mate Gustavo Scarpa became Steve Cooper's first winter signing, but the Reds are set to not stop there.
Forest in three-way transfer battle for £22m player
Nottingham Forest are reportedly 'targeting' Shakhtar Donetsk winger Tete as Steve Cooper looks to bring in new additions to his squad this month.
The 22-year-old has spent the last six months on loan at Lyon following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He has so far enjoyed a fine campaign, making nine-goal contributions in 15 outings for the Ligue 1 side.
But Forest are not the only club that the Brazilian has caught the eye of, with Everton and Wolves also being credited with an interest. According to talkSPORT, the winger is 'open to a January move' to the Premier League.
