Bowler blow
Nottingham Forest winger Josh Bowler has been given another hint that he could be on the move again in January.
The winger, who is on loan at Olympiacos from Forest, has been left out of his side's squad for their Greek Cup game against Atromitos on Thursday evening. His exclusion suggests he is not in the plans of manager Michel and could leave next month.
Forest signed Bowler from Blackpool in the summer and immediately sent him out on loan to Evangelos Marinakis ' Olympiacos. It was a similar situation with Hwang Ui-jo, who joined the Reds from Bordeaux before moving to the Greek side.

Coulibaly claim
Nottingham Forest are said to have put forward a £7 million bid for Salernitana midfielder Lassana Coulibaly.
The Reds were linked with the 26-year-old last week as they plot January reinforcements in a bid to preserve their top-flight status. And they are now said to have taken that interest a step further.
According to Italian media outlet Le Cronache, Forest are “on the trail” of Coulibaly, and have put £7m (€8m) “on the table” in an attempt to secure his services. It is likely they would have to increase that offer to land him, however.
Salernitana sporting director Morgan De Sanctis and the club’s hierarchy are reportedly not “tempted” by the Reds’ sum. And it is suggested that a lack of suitable alternatives to replace the Mali international could also be a stumbling block.
Davis demand
Some Nottingham Forest supporters have expressed their desire to see former striker Kienan Davies return to the club.
Davis was a vital part of the Reds’ 2021/2022 promotion campaign, arriving at the City Ground on loan from Aston Villa in January. He made 22 appearances for Forest, registering five goals and three assists under head coach Steve Cooper and the 24-year-old’s all-around capabilities swiftly earned him a fan-favourite status.
Subsequently, rumours of a permanent summer transfer to the East Midlands began to emerge but, ultimately, a deal failed to materialise. Davis would eventually complete another temporary move away from Villa, this time to Watford.
Depending on the conditions of Davis’ loan to Vicarage Road, a return to the Reds may well be practically impossible. Nevertheless, that has not prevented fans from discussing the prospect after Forest uploaded highlights of last season’s 2-0 win at Blackburn Rovers.
Teen talks
Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Owen Foster has opened up about his time on trial at Nottingham Forest.
The 17-year-old attracted interest from the Reds, who 'wanted to have a look at him' by inviting him along to training. Foster spent three days training with the club before eventually returning to the National League side.
The youngster signed a two-year professional deal with the Iron earlier this year, despite being in the first year of a 24-month apprenticeship with their academy. Since his time at Forest, he has been involved in the first team, being named as Marcus Dewhurst's back-up - and made his first appearance in the goalless draw against Yeovil Town on Monday.
