Willy Boly did not turn up at Molineux for Wolves' Premier League match against Newcastle United this afternoon, amid transfer links to Nottingham Forest.
The 31-year-old defender has been subject of interest from the Reds as he looks set to move on this summer. He is yet to make an appearance for Bruno Lage this season.
And the Wolves head coach revealed after his side's 1-1 draw with Newcastle that Boly didn't report for duty. "He was in the squad list and he didn't come," Lage explained.

"I have a good relationship with him. He has a proposal in his hands and he wants to go, that’s my feeling when I’m talking with him. I said to him, ‘Look, I understand, but you need to understand I need to put you in the squad because I need a top player like you on the bench. After that, Boly made his own decision.
The Portuguese boss believes the player is trying to 'force' through a move. "The market is open and the teams are playing six or seven games. Two weeks ago we took one player from Sevilla, and one player from Sporting. Everything happens with agents and players, it’s so hard to manage people.
"I won’t judge Boly, but we need to think about this so these kinds of things don’t happen."
The former Porto centre-back arrived at Molineux in 2018, and has racked up 147 appearances for the Old Gold outfit.
Would Boly be a good addition for Forest? Let us know in the comment section...
