Striker Lewis Grabban is said to have turned down the offer of a new contract from Nottingham Forest.
The 34-year-old is a free agent after his Reds deal officially expired at the end of last month. Talks had been held over a fresh one, but it seems his time at the City Ground is at an end.
Grabban has rejected Forest’s offer, according to The Athletic, leaving the club to look at finding a replacement. Barring a change of mind, that would call time on the forward’s spell Trentside after a four-year stay.

Grabban had been club captain, and although he missed the end of last season due to injury, he was at Wembley to lift the play-offs trophy alongside Joe Worrall - who had been wearing the armband in his teammate’s absence. It now seems unlikely he will be part of the squad for the Premier League, however.
Since signing from Bournemouth in the summer of 2018, Grabban has made 149 appearances and scored 56 goals in the Garibaldi. Last term, he found the net 13 times, and would no doubt have added to that tally but for injury.
The Reds have added to their forward ranks for the upcoming campaign, bringing in Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin for a club record fee. They also currently have Sam Surridge, Nuno Da Costa and Lyle Taylor as senior front men on the books.
